Billboard Olivia Rodrigo is an American actress, singer, and songwriter, well-known for her roles in Disney’s High School Musical and comedy series Bizaadvark. Thanks to her multi-talented personality, she has previously rocked the Billboard charts with her hit single “Driver’s License” and the highly acclaimed debut album, “Sour.”
But there’s more to her than what meets the eye. Though relatively young in the entertainment industry, Olivia has already become a model of an American dream, with a beautiful past and a bright future ahead.

Their Mixed-Descent Has Greatly Influenced Olivia

Her parents both have different backgrounds, with her mother hailing from a German and Irish family and her father being purely Filipino. The family has been in the United States largely because of Olivia’s great-grandfather, who moved from the Philippines as a teenager.
Rodrigo has stated before that she proudly follows Filipino traditions and cuisines, praising her great-grandfather’s cooking and gardening skills. She does this because of her parents’ influence and out of love for the values imparted to her.
“I definitely have a lot of traits that I think I inherited from my family members,” said Rodrigo during a past interview.
Her Father is a Therapist and Mother a School Teacher
From past sources and interviews, Olivia comes from a modest, loving home. Besides embracing their heritage, her parents have respectable careers. Over time, this has transformed their daughter into the superstar that she is. They are both in fields that promote mental health, positive values, and discipline.
Ronald, alongside her wife Sophia, made sure their young entertainer received a quality home-school education. She considers them her “BFFs,” which is unique for any teenager. “My parents, they’ve taught me how to be kind and respectful and to always do the right thing,” Olivia notes. But that’s not all.
Olivia’s parents have been very supportive of her career
Being an only child, Olivia’s parents directed all their attention to her- and this was instrumental in her career. They provided a firm foundation for her by fostering a friendly environment and cultivating her enviable musical talent.
They have been her sole support system. The Disney star has previously attested to their consistency and support. Speaking with MTV UK, she says, “I had my first proper piano lesson when I was probably nine years old, and I hated it. I would cry before every lesson.”
“But, in hindsight, I’m very glad I was forced to be in piano lessons because I use those skills that I was taught every day,” she added. Anyone who knows Olivia knows how much she loves playing the piano. It has become a part of her, thanks to her parents. In addition, her mother played a crucial role in her record-breaking single, “Driver’s License,” after helping her produce some of the sounds in the track.
