How did Jesse Powell die? His sudden passing explored
90s R&B hitmaker Jesse Powell died on 13th September 2022, a day after his 51st birthday. Powell was discovered in 1993 while singing at local talent shows in his hometown of Gary, Indiana. Three years later, he released his first album, All I Need, which performed well on the charts.

Tamara Powell announced Jesse’s death via an emotional Instagram post, stating Powell ‘passed away peacefully in his Los Angeles home.’ The statement read:
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and uncle Jesse Powell. The family asks for privacy at this time as we mourn this tremendous loss and celebrate his everlasting legacy.”
The family hasn’t released Jesse’s cause of death. However, unconfirmed reports claim Jesse Powell died due to a heart attack.
Tamara posted a video stating that the family would honor Jesse’s privacy by organizing an intimate farewell. She said that fans could participate by buying flowers or balloons or sending a cash donation to the family. Tamara said:
“We’d like to start by thanking you all for the outpouring of love in the passing of our beloved Jesse Powell. Our entire family adored Jesse. We’ve had him to ourselves for years as Jesse was fiercely, fiercely private. He only shared glimpses of himself with the world.”
